August 22, 2022: APEC Health Week officially starts today, packed with many representatives from economic zones attending the meeting under full strict implementation of COVID-19 preventive measures. Deputy prime minister and public health minister Anutin Charnvirakul will preside over public health exhibition tomorrow, with free Thai massage spa service.
Deputy prime minister and public health minister Anutin Charnvirakul expressed his appreciation for today overview meeting, which he said that it runs smoothly under COVID-19 preventive measures. The participants have recognized and followed recommendations to prevent the disease transmission.
The Ministry of Public Health, as a host, has worked closely with other related agencies for providing full security, traffic facilitation and healthcare service to the participants. The first day of the meeting has included two main policy dialogues, which are smart families and Human papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical cancer eradication.
He further added that the exhibition organized by various the ministry’s departments is now ready to represent the country’s great performance on medical hub, medical innovation, outstanding job for public health volunteers fighting against the COVID-19 disease, cannabis for medical treatment, herbal medicine, Thai massage and more. He placed a hope that exhibition officially opened tomorrow will receive welcomed feedbacks from audiences.
For free Thai massage service, it offers short-course massage to neck, shoulder and foot. There are five seats for upper-body massage and more five seats for foot massage, with 80 guests per day as maximum. The massage service is done under the preventive measure against the COVID-19 disease.
He said that the Thai massage is the country’s wisdom, which is not only involved with healthcare, but it has also increased economic value from health and wellness tourism, customized massages like a massage to heal office syndrome, or even spa massage.
The Ministry of Public Health is the host for APEC Health Week, which the event is held at Millennium Hilton Bangkok Hotel in August 22-26.
